Fenian Cycle
The wilderness literature of Fionn mac Cumhaill and the Fianna, the roving warrior-hunters of Irish tradition, set in the third century AD under the high king Cormac mac Airt. Hunts, doomed loves, and laments for a lost age, this is the cycle that lived longest in the spoken word.
